27th Annual Community Tree Giveaway

Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025

The Community Tree Giveaway is an annual drive-thru event that provides free trees to Denton residents each October, and is Denton's largest and longest-running tree giveaway!

Registration

Registration for the Annual Tree Giveaway will open on September 23rd at 10:00 am.
o Limited to City of Denton residents; proof of residency required a pick-up
o Limit of one tree per household
o Must pick up on Oct. 18 - If you are unable to pick up your tree, please do not register.
o All participants must have an account with Parks and Recreation. Set up your account ahead of time here!

Next Steps

o After registration closes, staff will work to quickly review the participant list to remove any ineligible registrations.
o Once the list is finalized, an email notification will be sent to all registered participants with more information.
o All participants should receive a final confirmation email no later than Oct. 15. If you have not received your email by this date, please email the Program Supervisor or call (940) 349-8737.
o Prepare for the Tree Giveaway by doing the following:
o Mark your calendar: Saturday, Oct. 18 (8am-Noon) - Arrival times will be assigned.
o Locate your event ticket - you'll need this to check in for the event.
