City of Denton will be hosting an event on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in celebration of Texas Recycles Day. We will be hosting a drop-off at Home Chemical Collection (HCC) where they will be offering their usual collection of HHW but also a special collection of bikes, books, etc. Donate2Impact will also be set up there to accept donatable items. We will also be hosting two tours of the recycling facility for residents to get a behind-the-scenes look at the recycling facility that processes their recyclables. Residents must register for the tour and wear close-toed shoes.
Home Chemical Collection (HCC) is located at 1527 S Mayhill Rd. Building 300, Denton, Tx. 76208. HCC will be accepting household hazardous waste, appliances, electronics, and a special collection of:
- Bikes
- Books
- Grills
- Exercise equipment
- Plastic film (Plastic bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, etc)
*Must be a City of Denton resident to use HCC. Fees apply to items with refrigerants and screens.
Donate2Impact will be at HCC from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. accepting donatable items such as:
- Clothing
- Shoes
- Purses and backpacks
- Jewelry and accessories
- Linens and blankets
- Toys
- Small home decor
